Organisation Development (OD)Achieving business critical changes in teams and organisations using psychological insights and strong facilitation skillsAs Business Psychologists we focus on enabling people's communications and relationships to be effective - i.e. purposeful and successful in meeting more than one individual's needs and preferences. Our experience has been that people usually become more effective when they focus on their outputs, rather than on their inputs – i.e. to check for understanding, agreement and commitment, rather than assume these things. With all the pressures managers feel to achieve their objectives, another key area is enabling people to balance pursuing their own agenda with being interested in, and responsive to, others. Change Leadership has been a declared priority for many organisations. All too often, however, we have found that this has resulted in a focus on project management skills and processes, rather than the vital aspects of how to take people through times of change. Our assignments in this area involve a mix of direct interventions (events, facilitation, etc) and indirect ones, where we work with Leaders and Change Agents to develop their skills and effectiveness.
